This New Moon in Cancer is happening for us on Sunday, July 20th. We had another Cancer New Moon not too long ago, and soon we’ll be moving from watery Cancer energy to fiery Leo energy. The moon is currently in it’s own sign, Cancer, the sign of the healer.

There will inevitably be lots of emotional and intuitive sensitivity, and we’ll be feeling more intensely. We will be guided to do lots of self- nurturing, become more self-sufficient, and tend to our own needs.
This is a wonderful opportunity to find time for solitude, and to go within to listen and feel.
With the influence of Saturn, we may feel the lower expression of the alignment by observing heavy, alone, or sad energy. We can use the higher expression of Saturn to be more disciplined in taking care of ourselves, our souls, our feelings, our emotions and our heart center.
We may be starting to observe the reality that we believed we existed in starting to crumble. This is happening with the goal of us moving toward freedom while keeping our morals and divine truths in place, and healing our emotional selves. Working through our feelings and emotional responses, will give us a much better chance to protect ourselves and our future.
The Mars/Aries influence will be ramping up with war as a theme. The energy of the war god is available to all of us now and will be urging us to vocalize in a way that serves the collective and ourselves.
Pay attention to and look out for how you are expressing yourself by using your voice.
As we work with perception and use words and language, we will see a back and forth sparring taking place, both in the external world and within ourselves. We must be acutely aware of what we are being controlled by, especially when it comes to our thoughts. The goal is collective healing on a BIG level, and in order for us to contribute to the collective healing, we have to start with our own healing. Taking responsibility for our own lives, experiences, perceptions, and most of all divinity is the best place to start.
Coming back home within ourselves to take a look at any uncomfortable emotions that may be popping up, and looking at how our mind and our thoughts are affecting our perception of our personal selves, our close relationships, and the collective will provide a guiding light.
Heal yourself first. From there you can intend for the future.
We all have wounds that are in the process of healing. Our home within has weathered storms, and has survived with scars to prove it. Does that mean that we should be bitter and pessimistic, or hopeful and optimistic? This is a personal choice, and our reactions can be conscious decisions.
When we are aware of the influences affecting us outwardly, and we begin to understand the influences affecting us inwardly, we have a better opportunity to access the spiritual warrior within. We’re looking for growth, and it starts within.
This is also a good time to look around at your physical home and your surroundings, and notice how you and your loved one’s are represented within your regular space.
This New Moon energy is asking us to settle back into the peace within ourselves so that we can feel prepared and ready to move through the healing process as emotions arise, as our mind contemplates and tries to understand, and as we take in the changes that are happening in the world around us.
You are a beautiful warrior and will continue to be.
You have survived, and you will continue to.
You have healed, and you will continue to.
You have grown, and you will continue to.
Find your home base and settle into your divine core energy.
New Moon Exercise “Home Base”
This New Moon is bringing in the energy of the warrior to allow us to choose how we will represent ourselves in the world. This is a time where heightened awareness is needed to have the opportunity to navigate the happenings that are affecting our personal lives and the collective whole.
It is a wonderful time to look within yourself, and make sure that you are staying connected to your core spirit self as you process your emotions and move through the waves of healing that are available to us. It’s also a great time to notice what your own home represents.
This exercise is called “Home Base” and is given at this time to help us focus our attention on the energy that is acutely influencing us while we make some intentional changes where we intuitively feel guided to do so.
Take some time to move around the spaces and places that you spend the most time in. Observe them with all your senses as if you had never seen them before. Notice what feels good, flowing, positive, and placed in a way that uplifts the energy. Note where there may be low, heavy energy circulating, and observe anything that feels off, dissonant, like it doesn’t belong, or is no longer working to serve the highest good of the space.
Next, give yourself a few moments to think about yourself and your loved ones that may also be occupying the space. Ask for one word that describes the positive intention you would like to communicate for the future vibration of the space. Once you have the word, write it down. (Feel free to add adjectives to compliment and further describe the vibe you’re going for)
Lastly, move back into your home spaces and compare the energy of the word you chose to the energy of the elements that you took notice of in the space. Seek to remove anything that feels to be vibrating lower than your chosen word and vibration. After you feel satisfied with the energy in your external space, ask for anything vibrating within you that is vibrating lower than your chosen word to be released from your energy as well.
As you move back into your moments and your daily experiences, stay aware of what may be coming up to help you stay aligned and connected to your chosen word and vibration. Remember you have what you need to return to your home base over and over again... learning, growing and elevating along the way.
